The February Photo a Day Challenge
February is the gloomiest month of the year. It’s short, it’s dark, it’s snowy (or rainy at the rate we’re going) and it is the month of the big V event, which doesn’t help with the gloominess, or is that just me?
To spice this leap-February up, I am challenging myself and anyone interested to a ‘photo-a-day challenge’. It’s simple. If you have a camera or a phone with a camera (hello iphoneography!) and the will to commit to taking a photo every day for 29 days, you are more than welcome to participate. Every day has a set theme and the challenge is to take a photo that fits the theme. Taking photos regularly is the only way to become a better photographer, no matter what level you are at, so get ready to work on your skills and develop your photographic eye
Below is the list of themes. You are encouraged to follow the daily theme and to think creatively about it. Try to go beyond the obvious shot and strive to create an image that could explain itself without a caption.
To make things even more fun, you can share your daily photos with everyone else and keep up with what others are creating. If you have a Flickr account, simply upload your daily photo to your page and add it to the “Leap February Photo Challenge” group created especially for this event
. Creating a Flickr account is easy and free so feel free to join.
I am so excited to start the challenge and to see what everyone will create! Feel free to post any questions or comments on this blog or on my Facebook page.
Good luck everyone!

Barbara this sounds like fun!
I can try to partake – hopefully my february isn’t too crazy.
Have fun shooting!
